Grano Law Offices, P.C. Announces the 2nd Annual 2021 Bikes 4 New Mexico Kids Essay Contest

LAS VEGAS, New Mexico, May 26, 2021–Grano Law Offices, P.C. proudly announces the 2nd annual kick-off of the “Bike 4 New Mexico Kids” Essay Contest. Firm founder and attorney, Marc Grano, will be giving away ten bicycles to ten children throughout the month of July 2020. The inaugural 2020 essay contest was well-received, with adults submitting entries throughout northern and central New Mexico.

Last Year’s Contest

In June 2020, Grano launched the essay contest. The firm received numerous submissions from parents/guardians throughout the area. Responses were so overwhelming that they decided to increase the number of bikes awarded to children from seven to ten.

The tradition to give away ten bicycles continues through to this year’s contest.

Contests winners were announced via social media, email, and the Grano Law Offices, P.C. website. Each winning child was voluntarily photographed with their new bicycle for social media. “These children were proud of their accomplishments. You could see it in their huge smiles. It was especially humbling and gratifying to be able to support our local youth.  Especially during the challenges of the pandemic,” said Grano.

How to Nominate a Child

Participants, including parents, educators, and friends, can nominate a child by writing a 150-word essay through Grano Law Offices, P.C.’s website. Essays will be evaluated at the sole discretion of the law firm.

The firm will collect submissions from June 18 through July 22. Two bicycles will be given away each Friday in July on the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 24th, and 31st. Essays will not be published or sold. Parents, guardians, and teachers may resubmit essays weekly. See official rules for details.

Bicycles Change Lives

The contest is a promotional effort inspired by a safe, reliable bicycle role in a child’s life. Last year, Grano stated, “It is incredible to see our many community members staying active during the coronavirus pandemic. My office wants to support this healthy attitude in our state’s children,” regarding his effort to launch the contest.

Not only do bicycles offer physical benefits, but they also offer children an opportunity to connect with each other in the offline world. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), children are at a higher risk for developing mental health and behavioral challenges. Positive outlets can help them cope better and flourish.

While it may be a drop in the bucket, Grano Law Offices, P.C. sees this essay contest as a meaningful way to give back to the community and support and encourage our youth.
