At Grano Law Offices, P.C., we support the health and well-being of our community’s children. During the COVID-19 pandemic, our little ones are more stressed-out than usual.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), children are at a higher risk for developing mental health and behavioral challenges. Physical activity, like cycling, can help them cope better.
It is for this reason that my office is kicking off the 2020 Bikes for New Mexico Kids essay contest.
On Friday, July 24, 2020, we are giving away seven (7) bicycles to seven (7) children. From 12:00 am MST June 22, 2020, to 5 pm MST July 22, 2020, I am collecting nominations through the form below, which also includes a 150-word essay portion.
I am asking residents of Las Vegas, New Mexico and surrounding areas to nominate a child whom you believe deserves a new bicycle. In an essay of no more than 150 words, please tell me why you are nominating him or her, especially if he or she has contributed positively to the local community or overcome some form of adversity.
The top seven (7) most compelling submissions will be selected to receive a new bicycle.
- Any nominee must be a resident of New Mexico and age 12 or under
- All contact information must accompany the essay submission
- The essay submission must be 150 words or less
Nominations must be received no later than 5 pm MST on July 22, 2020.
